Welcome!

Welcome to Number One, Park Lane, Kisco Hills, New York, known locally as the Big House by the Park!

It's just up the road a couple of miles from Mount Bedford, where American Girl Samantha lived with Grandmary from 1900 to 1905, when she moved to New York to live with Uncle Gard and Aunt Cornelia.  In this iteration of her life and adventures, Samantha finds herself living in the Big House by the Park with twelve other girls, aged eight to ten; though most of them are nine, and it is, for the most part, always 1904, sometimes 1905, but never later than 1910.  It is unclear whether or not they realize they are dolls living in a doll world, but they live full and productive lives nonetheless.  They are happy to share their lives with you, and they hope you will enjoy their adventures and pastimes.  Feel free to wander around among the posts, heedless of any sort of order, and drop in on the girls, at work and play.

THE JANE DELACEY CHRONICLES

Jane deLacey is an Elizabethan girl, from 1594, who is suddenly and unexpectedly supratemporally transmigrated to the Big House in 1904, and has to learn about life in the exciting, modern Twentieth Century.  Her story begins HERE and can be read in sequence, or dipped into randomly.

THE WAND AND THE CROWN
An Epic Tale of Fantasy and Magic

This is an illustrated novella, in which I have tried to push the envelope of what a doll photo story can be.  It was created over eight summer vacations in and around Ellison Bay, Door County, Wisconsin. It is now in an archived Picasa album, and I have posted an introduction to it HERE, and a link to it there.
